Anyone listen to them/have some sort of opinion on them? They're a band, by the way, if you got this off of unread threads or the home page rather than the music subforum. They also have their fourth album out June 3rd. Songs you may know from the radio:

"Down with the Sickness"
"Liberate"
"Stricken"
"Land of Confusion [cover]"

What's their new album called?

So, The Sickness was an album I loved when I was... your age actually. Not really a fan of it anymore, except maybe a song or two.

I have a soft spot for Believe and still listen to Darkness, Prayer and Remember. By far their best album but not great by any means.

I heard 10000 Fists and the first song started off cool and then they pissed all over it. And I hated the album a lot.

They were a gateway band, though. And they're one of the gateway bands that I've mostly left behind. I can't listen to Down with the Sickness anymore. It's such a bad song, but I used to love it.

On a somewhat related note, I do still like older Staind (Dysfunction, Tormented and my big gateway album, Break the Cycle) and Slipknot is still my favourite band, so don't think I'm ashamed of what I used to like. Disturbed just does not do it for me at all.

I agree I still listen to stuff I used to like sometimes and am not ashamed in the least.

I can't believe you like Slipknot though, for shame. Ehh, I'm just messing with you.

EDIT: Oh, about Disturbed, I used to like them, when I was in like 4th or 5th grade, not much anymore.

And STAIND, I had all albums except IV or whatever the newest one is called (I lost 14 shades of grey, though). I still like them a little, Tormented is creepy as hell though.

I still like Disturbed, I also like Staind, especially the earlier stuff, but I don't have nor have I ever heard of Torment, and their new album is called Indestructible I think.

I have Dysfunction, Break the Cycle, 14 Shades of Grey, and Chapter V (and now I know why it's called Chapter V and not Chapter IV). I do still like Dysfunction, but the funny thing is when I listen to it it brings up memories of reading To Kill a Mockingbird because when I got into that album it was while I was reading it. In a similar manner, my mind associates Ten Thousand Fists (Disturbed's 3rd album) with Stephen King's Eyes of the Dragon.

this is quite normal lots of people associate songs with memories.

Yeah I associate Come Close by Saosin with The Illusionist and also Bury Your Head by them with TMNT.

And for some reason that song by Ashlee Simpson, Outta My Head goes with lots of movies. Why? I have NO idea and I can't defend it.
