| Apocalyptica is a Finnish rock band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists and, since 2005, a drummer. Could this song be the most epic cello playing ever to exist? Share your thoughts. By the way, the video is pretty awesome. This advertisement is only visible to guests. I see these peeps all over the place these days. Everyone asks me if I've heard Apocalyptica and then they say something like, "Do you think this is guitar?" And I break their hearts when I say, "I know it's cello." I remember when Apocalyptica was the novelty band playing Metallica covers years ago. I'm not a big fan, I don't mind them, though. Pretty decent song they did with Corey Taylor as well, but Corey can make anything decent. ![]() "Don't vote, it only encourages them." |

I like their song with Nina Hagen, sorta. I'm not a huge fan of that sort of music really, but Nina has an amazing voice. ![]() ![]() all women are bad. <3mvk<3 |

| I like rock music on classical instruments, or blends of rock and classical instruments. These guys are good. I also like that they all play cello since that's the violin version of a bass. There's no reason for a rock musician to have to learn guitar or drums. Genre shouldn't be defined by instruments. I think it's acceptable to experiment and try different combinations. ![]() Keep this in mind: whether it be a rock or a grain of sand, in water, they both sink. -Oldboy |
