Any poker players? Online players? What do you play on? Favorite hands? Bad beats? Tournament wins? TALK ABOUT IT!

I picked up poker last year due to Tyler (not Obby). Since then, we had a residential league at school, I play a $10 buy-in tourney on Thursdays, and live on Pokerstars. My screenname on Pokerstars is therealjro.

OMG don't get me started. I started playing in 2004 with some work buddies and then went to playing online for a long time. I don't get to play so much online nowadays but I'm always up for a social game. I usually play on ParadisePoker but their new software update locks up when I run it .

I'm a fan of all the premium starting hands but I really enjoy J/10 suited. It's a favorite heads up against 2/2 which is a fav heads up against A/K. So J/10 beats A/K hands down in my book! I've blocked out most of the bad beats from my memory...

Favorite players are polar opposites... I like Gus Hansen, Phil Helmuth, and Scotty Ngyuen.

Favorite starting hand(s): Hockey Sticks (7s); Cowgirls (Qs); Sailboats (4s); Ducks (2s); Dead Man's Hand (A-8); 10-5 offsuit (don't ask me why, just always seems lucky)
Least Favorite: Hookers (Js)

Favorite players: "Scotty Win", Greg Raymer, Daniel Negreanu, 'Jesus' Ferguson, Johnny Chan, Phil Ivey, and Mike Sexton
Least Favorite players: Phil Helmuth, Mike Matusow, and... Gus Hansen

I'll explain why I don't like Hansen, since the other two should be pretty obvious if you've ever watched poker. I don't like Hansen for a sorry reason I guess, I just find him to be a shove-in player. When he gets into a POKER game with guys like Ivey and Negreanu, he tends to get crushed. But "shove-in", as I'll call it, is effective in the European system, where Hansen has found much of his success.

I have been playing poker for a while now......4 years maybe? I also love Pokerstars, my name on it JFAC. Favorite hand? Pocket rockets of course....... or 6-9suited I don't know why. I would like to share the first and only time I got a Royal Flush and it was actually on Pokerstars. I was playing a tournament, 5000 people(play money), and i got dealt an ace of diamonds and an 8 of spades. Flop comes up its J of diamonds Q of diamonds and K of diamonds in that order. Then on the Turn I got the 10 of Diamonds. I was shocked.

I have attached proof of the only Royal Flush I ever had while playing poker. I was on PartyPoker.net at the time, which I have since left in favour of PokerStars. I also used to play on HoldemPoker.net, but that was short-lived.

As far as successes, I have made over 20 final tables on PokerStars tournaments (300+20 buy-in, 45 players), winning 9 times and runner-up another 3. I cash in about 4 of every 10 tourneys.

Very nice.... and now you made me realize how stupid I was for not taking a screenshot. I play on a lot of large tourneys on Pokerstars. Never made a final table though. Best i have placed was 98 out of 5000. Ehh....

Played a few hands last night, took in just under 2000 to bring my play money account on PokerStars to a bit over 800k. Best win was with a 5-7 of spades, flopped a straight flush (4 to the 8), took down a pot of about 900.
