Don Cherry is now on ESPN! I'm so happy! I used to love watching Don Cherry on Hockey Night in Canada, but I don't get CBC anymore since I have satellite tv now. I'm just glad ESPN has a hockey analyst that actually knows what the hell he's talking about now...fuck Barry Melrow's.

Any other hockey fans in here? Ready to see the Wings hoist the Cup? Yeaaaa buddy.

I was into hockey a lot years ago but I kinda stopped paying attention even though it's the greatest sport on Earth, and Jupiter. But my gf is really into it so since I got here we've been going to OHL games, and I'm just more into hockey now again, like I was before.

Fuck Detroit, even though I love Hasek. Fuck Osgood. Mind you, I just got back into hockey so I don't know who a lot of people are but I know a few on Detroit and the only one I like is Hasek.

But then again my team was always Toronto and who do they have? They need to get rid of Sundin, it's time to move on. But Tomas Kaberle is cool so I'm glad he's still on there.
I need to find another team to really love, along with Toronto, because TO isn't gonna do anything for a while.
It's sad, I'm gonna like Chicago next season because they're gonna draft Josh Unice, who is a Kitchener Rangers goalie and I like him a lot. I've never liked Chicago though.
I have a soft spot for New York Rangers because of Marc Staal.

Okay, so after looking through every roster I've decided I have to follow Toronto (I can't leave them behind! At least they don't have Belfour anymore!), Vancouver, NYR and Chicago.
With a shout out to Hasek, I don't care if you're old, you're still my boy and get the hell outta Detroit.

I agree, get the hell outta Detroit. Fuck that old bastard. How can you say fuck Osgood? Have you seen how he's been playing in the playoffs? He's been keeping opponents to 1 or 2 goals, been playing really solid. Much better then Hasek, so much better in fact that Hasek was BENCHED in favor of Osgood in the FIRST ROUND. Now Osgood's gonna carry us all the way to the Cup and I can't wait!

I'm hurt you don't like Detroit man...Zetterberg? Datsuyk? Holmstrom? Lindstrom? Rafalski? McCarty? Drapper? Chelios? FRANZEN!!! Franzen has been a fuckin' beast in the playoffs, he broke GORDIE HOWE'S record of most goals in a playoff by scoring NINE goals in FOUR games on the avalanche.

Don Cherry predicts the Wings will win the cup too.

lol I've just never liked Detroit. They bore me. I don't like any of the players on the team (that I actually know).

I'm also not just gonna cheer for the "best" team, with the highest stats. That's not all hockey's about.
Hasek's past his prime and I do think he should have retired a while ago but he's a future hall of famer, who used to be able to play a smart, entertaining and great game of hockey. He did things that I doubt other goalies ever thought about doing. People wanna discredit him and say that he's just lucky but that's bullshit. Have you ever read about his methods?

I don't abandon people just because they aren't playing their best.

I agree he should be a hall of famer once he retires (if he finally decides to STAY retired). I also agree cheering for the "best" current team is lame...but Detroit has and will always be my favorite team and so let me relish in the moment!!!

You can't deny the skill of Detroit tho. The line of Datsuyk, Zetterberg and Holstrom is dominating right now.

No unfortunately I can't deny their awesomeness sincerely. However, I can do it falsely.

THEY SUCK.

He's on ESPN now? Really? Is he still on CBC, because I'll miss his weird dog and his stupid suits. I agree, Barry was really, really bad. Glad Don Cherry's on there now.

He should still be on CBC, it'd be a tragedy if he left that station. I can't tell you though because I don't get it anymore. I think he's just going to be on ESPN for the finals.
