never heard of watchman before seeing the trailer at the TDK... i was thinking it was another super hero spoof movie or something lol.

lol Well it's funny because while the comic raises serious issues of morality (among other things) it also kind of takes shots at superheroes and how ridiculous they'd be in real life. But it also shows them love. Such is a typical situation in Watchmen, the contradictions of 'em all.

watchman look like a bunch of look alike superheros to me from the look like there is a batman wannabe and a catwoman i'll have to see who else i can pick out of it lol just from the movie trailer.

There's actually only one superhero in it and he's more of a God, Dr. Manhattan (the blue guy who doesn't wear clothes). The rest -- or at least a bunch of 'em -- are good fighters but they're just normal, trained people.

The novel made a lot of people love a character named Rorschach because he's your classic mysterious crime fighter wearing a mask and just having a no bullshit attitude. But dude's a right wing, anti-commie, anti-liberal, nationalist with no grey area and no sympathy or empathy for criminals, no matter the reasons why they're criminals. But then he breaks the law. Cool contradiction.
