Okay, 3 days ago, i bought 3 books by this dude. New York Times Best Selling author, James Patterson. Why in the world did that name sound so familiar? Oh yeah, the guy writes books... that my mom likes. This was gunna be good. The three books, by the hay ho, were the Maximum Ride series. 6 genetically enhanced kids combined with avian DNA, meaning they have wings. And superior to humans. Since this is a thread about the author, I'll shut up (i digress...). Read the three books by this afternoon. Did i tell you guys that the books were great? They were. They weren't, like, mind-blowingly awesome that makes you sigh and say "i'd be okay with dying now" but you know, it leaves the feeling like "I wih he wrote more in that series." Amazing author. He wrote the whole series in 1st person, from a teenage girl's POV. I find that quite amazing, that's just me though. He was dead on with the sarcasm of us teens today... So, how bout some real info now?
Well, for one, he's known as one of "America's Best Storytellers," he had many books on the top selling list, he writes for both young adult and older ones, and, this is awesome, he lives in Palm Beach, Florida. Wanna know a life goal of mine now? I hope that i run into him these days, in, like, a Publix or something. That would be so awesome.
Anyone ever hear of this guy? Ever read a book by him? IF you're into Young Adult type series (Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, Alex Rider series), i highly recommend Maximum Ride.
