Default I am Legend
I read the book. It was awesome but I didn't think it would end there. Reason being it ended half way through the actual book and the rest was random short stories Matheson wrote. Anyway, has anyone else read it? It's a classic in horror, apparently. I liked it. The ending was great, talking about how humans are just legend after vampires take control of the world, and how each just killed to survive, and each was afraid of the other.

Anyway, who read it?

From the sounds of it, I want to. I was extremely dissatisfied with the ending of the movie, so let's see how this goes.

No the film ends with the woman and her son finding this refuge of humans in Vermont and ends all happy like "now there's hope to save humanity".

What the hell?

Sorry. I ruined the ending of the book for you. You'll probably enjoy it anyway.

And who's this woman? Oh well. I'll watch the movie sometime when I get the chance.

And no, humanity doesn't stand a goddamn chance.

The scary thing about the book is, though, it was written in the 50s and practically predicts the Cold War escalating into nuclear war. All of the stuff in the book could actually have happened. Well, maybe not the vampire part, but some sort of plague.

Will Smith really seems better fit for the role than the guy Matheson had as the main character, who is a blond German-English man with "no distinguishable features save for a wide mouth."

I saw the movie and the ending is really kinda loose. Other than that it was awsome.

i didn't able to watch the movie version and i have not read about the book. but i have heard that the movie was bad.
