Well Not really. They will however be in a game with each other, as well as characters from each series. The game is titled Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, and will be released this holiday on the Wii and the DS.

Other characters you'll be able to choose from are Luigi, Tails, Yoshi, and Knuckles. The environments in the game will be based on the venues at he Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and events include table tennis, 100 metres running, and swimming. Sega will handle the publishing duties in North America and Europe, and Nintendo will in Japan.

I'm not sure that Sonic and Tails and Knuckles would be great on SS. Mario has been there, as well as the other characters, and I can't seem to imagine Sonic and crew on smash. Maybe Knuckles, but nyeh.

It's only going to be on the Wii though becuase, it wouldn't be fun on other systems. But on the Wii, it will be fun.

No, that's not why it's only going to be on the Wii and the DS. It's on those systems because of the Nintendo characters (Mario, Luigi, Yoshi) that are in the game.

The DS is pretty inventive in its own right. The touch screen is a cool idea. I love Nintendo.
Anyway, I'm not excited for this at all. Partially because I haven't cared about Sonic for years and I'm not even thrilled on Mario anymore (as a kid I was a fanatic but so were a lot of people). Plus the idea of the Olympics doesn't excite me.

I want more violent games to balance this kind of stuff out. They're slowly getting that though. No More Heroes and Manhunt 2 for example.
