How does everybody feel about cheating in general? It can help win a game, but can also make a game less fun. Thoughts?

My view is this: I try games without cheats and if I can't get through it without cheating I will cheat. If I can beat it without cheats, but cheats make the game more fun, I start a separate file to use the cheats in.

But I know other people think that cheats are not worth it. Others probably won't play too many games without cheats. So what does everyone here think about cheating?

I think its fine if you're only playing for fun. But if you're trying to win i think its better to try without cheats first.

Thanks. I saw it on the home page and hoped no one would think I meant in a marriage. And yeah, I do think it depends on the situation, but I think it is good if the situation is right. Guitar Addiction, on the other hand, believes that cheating under any circumstance is pointless.

I say, play it frist without cheats then use then for fun. like grand theft auto games, cheats just make the game fun, infinite ammo and infinite health and i'm all set.

For San Andreas, I like the ones that instantly summon a vehicle. And the public riot ones. And the one that makes cars fly.

I agree. Attempt the game without cheats and if it's really all that impossible to you then go for it! But same again some cheats do make it more fun but hey! whatever really!

Although i think like if you've nearly completed the whole game or are on a level that you can't complete yet really want to try out the next level because you heard it was excellent then... using a cheat could be alright. If it was just to skip a level then go skip it an go back to it i guess... that way in the end eventually... you will probably complete the whole game and it wasn't really cheating if you went back to the level and did it. uno!
