ANSWERS

1. (b) On the floor, to the left of the clutch. Hand controls, popular in Europe, took till the late '60's to catch on.

4 . (a) Blackjack Gum.

8 (a) Wax for your flat top (butch) haircut.

9. (a) With clamps , tightened by a skate key, which you wore on a shoestring ar ound your neck.

11. (c) Polio. In beginning of August, swimming pools were closed, movies and other public gathering places were closed to try to prevent spread of the disease.

I believe I scored 17 points!!
Like I always said, you youngsters never give much attention to...um.....listening to us....your elders. Ummmm....when I was young we had to...ummm....walk uphill to school!....umm...both ways! In the snow!....ummmm..

lame, when i was a kid, i had to pray to god that i wouldn't get shot on the way or in school, so thats nothing compared to your up the hill both ways in the snow.

Well I would have gotten like five is answered that test. We always had crap teachers for history. For like two years we didn't have one due to one going and us having a supply teacher.

Well it's not like most of the questions are something that would be taught in a history class by a competent teacher either. I guess there may be an exception if you were doing a specific class on America from say 1940-1960.

I am from UK. We study UK and World War mainly. Well I used to back when I had school. You leave when you are sixteen here. However I think it is going up soon like in the US.

At my high school the required history classes were one on World History and two on US History. I find it kind of funny that we put thousands of years of the entire world's history in one class and had two for about two hundred years of one country.

It is funny. I guess if you wanted to study History you would be better off sitting at home with the Internet and books and taking a look at history yourself. Imagine how long it would take for the whole worlds history?
