And kids are the enemy? I mean, sure, more people would make bomb threats if it got them out of school, but at least if there was a real bomb they would not all die because the principal assumed that if there was a bomb it was not already in the school. Real, it would be stupid to make a threat then bring in a bomb the next day. I would hide a bomb somewhere then make a threat. And then let it off if my demands were not met. I wouldn't do that, but if I were to, that's how I would.

Society makes me sick. It's not just the kids, but the adults too. When you've gotten to the point that you'll make a bomb threat just to get out of school there's something wrong. Sometimes I feel like there's just no chance at all, sometimes I feel like the world's worth fighting for.
And this extends beyond just bomb threats. There's guns everywheres, people acting "hard", people ignoring problems that clearly exist, poverty, rich leaders who don't care, lies, racism, sexism, homophobia. And I'm on a tangent.

And I'd just like to say that Butler is an intelligent 14 year old. I'm willing to bet that a lot of that comes from your ability to go on the net. I wish I woulda had that when I was 14. So keep up the good work.

No I didn't mean that kids are the enemy, I simply meant that the party involved in making the bomb threat would get what they wanted by getting school canceled. Bomb sniffing dogs would easily defeat any teenager's attempt at an IED, so it would be safe to have school as long as the school was searched the day before, no bags were allowed the next day, and students were checked.

Yeah, i guess before school they could do the in-school search then let kids in so school isn't canceled but they can be reasonably sure we're all safe since it's always just an empty threat to waste time. I didn't think of that before.

i really feel bad about terrorist movements. i dunno and can never understand what kind of message are they trying to bring across with their activities. yeah, i guess a reign of terror. but what for? the destruction is ugly and messy. so what makes violence attractive?

well, the school administration cannot be blamed. what if the threat is real? they will be putting the lives of so many students at stake. that is why terrorists have brought so much harm. people are getting paranoid all the time.
