So this forum makes its members change it passwords after 200+ days? Is this vBulletin default or as this been done on perpose? Maybe it's an error? Let me know.

Staff only. I see. That I guess is a good idea. However as long as you backup regulary this would not be needed. I guess more security the better. So this is a MOD?

i hate the idea personally, a password would never get figured out assuming you follow the correct rules when making a password. i've had the same password for years, but no one could ever guess it, and actually i violated a few rules when making it.. but its the things i put before and after that make it secure.

Don't say too much. There are programs that get your passwords isn't there? When hackers get them, they don't just guess. That would be impossible really. Without a software anyways.

well considering i don't save my password to anything i don't let programs auto save my password... i guess they could use a keylogger and get it... but im pretty cautious about what i download and i scan everything so it'd have to be something extremely new for me to fall for it... hackings not as easy as it used to be.

I'm not a fan of the idea either but it's not a big deal to me because 1: it's a forum and 2: I'm not a mod. I can also understand it.

I think with most or all password-hacking programs take a few years to get it right anyway, since it has to check every available assortment of numbers and letters.

Exactly, if you use a good password, cracking it would take years
