You must want some pretty shallow movie experiences, but besides that... this is a trailer for the movie:
Roughly a minute and a half out of two and a half minutes is dedicated to showing you just how "mundane" everyday life is then. I mean it says such keywords as "wait." Then a minute is showing you those action sequences that you desire so bad. But the trailer definitely doesn't mislead at all. It doesn't tell you "THIS MOVIE TAKES PLACE AT NIGHT ALL THE TIME, THIS MOVIE IS FULL OF ACTION."
Now mind you, I'm not arguing your personal taste because nobody can do that. One's entitled to hate/love what they want, but the advertisement for it is pretty right on with what you get. Not to mention you missed the point of the movie.
And the Pursuit of Happyness was a pretty well crafted tale of the struggles that a father and son face. I saw it and was surprised by it. But if you just want action and jump scares in movies then well... obviously you aren't the audience.
