Default Kevin Smith (Hatchet reminded me)

Sure, he's not exactly a real amazing director but he's solid but his dialogue is some of the best I've ever heard. He writes extremely entertaining movies that involve a lot of talking.

Don't know who he is? Oh you probably do.

1992 Mae Day: The Crumbling of a Documentary Co-director, co-writer, co-producer, actor, editor. Vancouver Film School project. Included on Clerks X DVD release.

1994 Clerks Director, writer, co-producer, actor, co-editor.
1995 Mallrats Director, writer, actor.
1997 Chasing Amy Director, writer, actor, co-editor.
1999 Dogma Director, writer, actor, co-editor, puppeteer (as Kevin P. Smith).
2001 Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back Director, writer, actor, co-editor, executive album producer.
2004 Jersey Girl Director, writer, executive producer, co-editor.
2006 Clerks II Director, writer, actor, editor
2008 Zack and Miri Make a Porno Director, writer Pre-production.
2008 Red State Director, writer Announced.

I haven't seen Mae Day: The Crumbling of a Documentary. And obviously I haven't seen Zack and Miri Make A Porno or Red State, but I'm excited for both. It'll be interesting to see the guy make a straight up horror movie (Red State).

But I can honestly say I love most of his movies, though I prefer Clerks 1 and 2. The only movie of his I don't love is Mallrats but it's still really funny regardless.

I too love Kevin Smith. I've never seen Chasing Amy, or Jersey Girl though. But Clerks I & II..hilarious. I'm surprised you didn't "love" Mallrats. As for him talking, again, I agree! I love his story about Prince, lol.

I want his two dvds, An Evening With Kevin Smith and An Evening With Kevin Smith: Evening Harder.
I still really like Mallrats, it just hasn't gotten to the point of the others. A lot of critics hate Jersey Girl but I thought it was really affective... but I'm in a minority here.

Yea, Jersey Girl just never seemed like a movie I really wanted to see. Same with Chasing Amy. It's not that I won't watch them, just never have. I have the 2nd dvd, Evening Harder. It's alright...but I prefer the first Evening With Kevin Smith.

Well, I usually do that anyway. I only mentioned it because I found it funny...I do it too, don't think I was insulting you. It's funny how when you type, you're mind still acts as though you were speaking.

i did it for humor... i find it more realistic to do talk to people as though we are all sitting at a local restaurant shooting the shit.
