My favorite type would either be action or comedy.

My favorite kind of movies are the ones with the mystery in the beginning, and as the movie goes on clues begin to show up. But these clues make no sense when put together, until the very ending where the movie as a whole fits together. Movies such as Bone Collector, Any of the Saw's, The Return, etc.

My Favorite type of movie is action.

Comedy. Anything that makes me laugh is good.

I prefer action ones that include a good plot line, like The Matrix trilogy and V for Vendetta (whoo go Wachowski brothers!).
Good comedies are good too.
And I like some dramas, such as Pan's Labyrinth.
And some of mystery ones in which it all clicks in the end (or beginning, in the case of Memento, which rocks).

If you like, what I call, action movies with brains, you can try Equilibrium. It takes ideas from most of the popular dystopian books (1984, Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, and a few others I don't remember) and meshes them together. Has some action, has some ideas. Good movie. Oh, it also has Christian Bale who is my favourite actor ever.
And try Gummo if you want a challenging drama movie. I don't know if it's really drama, but it's... something that resembles it.

And somebody tell me what kinda movies are being nominated for the next movie of the month!
