I'm mortified. First a bunch of stupid commercials bringing to mind an ostantacious Darth Vader giving people supposedly drugged food, then video games that were pointless and petty, now a movie? Burger King is getting a little full of themselves on this one. It won't be hilarious, it will be a one-and-a-half hour commercial.

Commercials CAN be hilarious, but it's the way it is presented, like the whole world loves the Burger King character and will love a movie about him. It's OK having him as a spokesperson, so to speak, when it comes to commercials and billboards and the like. But making a video game about it is a little over the edge. And a movie is even worse.

That's what you get when giant corporations are running amuck. I'm pretty sure I'm not their target audience but I'm willing to bet kids will enjoy it.

Say what you will (and I certainly do), but corporations aren't always stupid when it comes to making money. You should be used to this kind of shit.

Obdurate, I see what you're saying. They can make money and get a reputation by doing things that some people think is petty and unneccessary, but others will enjoy. Also, parents who think it is idiotic to make a movie may still take their chilren to the theaters for it. I mean, kids are not overly critical about things. Looking at the Power Rangers now, I can't see how I liked it. The acting is abyssmally poor, and the costumes on the monsters are so fake. However, I didn't notice those things back then. I just enjoyed the show. Perhaps this is the wrong thread to be getting so in-depth on the subject though. I mean, it's about Burger King. Butler out.
