So I sign on as a new member and I have this HUGE exclamation mark flashing next to my user name telling me that I have 470 unread posts.

*heavy sigh*

Now really people...





And now the next person to sign on will have 471.

Well as of this date I am down to # 265.

I am going to see what I can get into...umm,I mean what posts to enter a response !

The exclamation point means you have some sort of message, be it a profile message, PM, or whatnot. The unread posts are separate from the exclamation mark. I'm at 338 because I ignore a lot of threads I have no interest in.
