Greetings Talkers: My name is Frosty7530. I am a 60 yr. old F. I live in Philadelphia as a single in the historic, bohemian grove of Germantown. My room-mate is a beautiful man named Laurie. A 2 yr. white/blue-eyed Persian Cat. And no, I am grateful he is not deaf or blind, that is a problem w/blue-eyed cats & dogs. I am a retired librarian. I had worked off-public in the acquistions/purchasing dept. of Library. I still love books in spite of being saturated with them for 10 years. I also love politics and hot debates. I adore both John Hagee & Bobby Kennedy (Sr. & Jr)! I feel that different problems, require different solutions -- some conservative and others Liberal or even radical. I will support McCaine in this race, unless there is a miracle and Bobby, Jr. enters. I have been very disgusted w/Hillary's behavior in the election and hope she bows out soon! I really do respect her husband though, I feel he was an excellent President and it was no accident we had good years under him.

In terms of music. I listen and collect doo-wop, harp, and other music. I love Rufus Wainwright, I also love standards of cole porter & George Gershwin & their generation. I love going to broadway productions. I have a neice at Pratt Inst. and I enjoy going to NYC to visit her and theater. Right now I am sedentary because my foot is in a removable brace (taken off for sleep&bath). I don't understand it too well; but I am fighting to save my R. ft. from being amputated. It's a good thing I am couch potatoe! I sure do miss my daily walks to stores. I am somewhat ambulent; but it's not real safe. We have coblestone sidewalks here, and like many places the ground is uneven. Foot Braces are not meant to be active in, I guess.

I'm personally addicted to yarn and anything douglas adams wrote but the "addict" under my username is my status here at ptf.

I never finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I'm not sure why.

You should finish it. It does get a bit weird but the later bits are some of my favorites. I'm still reading Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.

seen the movie, never read the book , heard the book was way better tho.

I agree it's better but people have the wrong attitudes toward the movie. It's not a remake of the book. It's the basic story all chopped up and made into something totally new. Douglas Adams never made a remake of anything with hitchiker's. Every new version was it's own story. I like the book better because the narrator parts are my favorite. The cast was brilliant in the movie though.
