Well, sort of bus speed. It's bus speed times multiplier. All ram is rated for a certain speed. For example, my ram is rated for 800mhz. If my bus speed is 200, my multiplier would be set to 4. But say I add a stick of ram that is rated at 600. My multiplier would have to drop to 3. The multiplier affects all ram, so even the ram that is rated at 800 has to be dropped to 600. Capacity is not a factor. But the other thing that could be a factor is the timing. The lower, the better. If one stick is 2-2-2-5 and the other is 4-4-4-10, they both run at the slower 4-4-4-10. Again, capacity is not an issue in speed.
