Linux doesnt run a lot of windows programs... only the ones that do not use .NET framework I think...

Its mainly used by programmers/coders, but equally as efficent for surfing the internet. I don't play any games/have any music on it, I use Ubuntu purely for the internet.

If you could run anything on linux (at least some version of 3D rendering software), I might use it

I use windows xp home edition, its really good for me, I love to use xp and I dont have much knowledge about other operating systems. well I will have to give vista a try to see how it is. But Its really hard for me to leave xp since I love to use xp very much. it boots really fast and bunch of other advantages are there with xp.

I just upgraded to Service Pack 3 for Windows XP

I am using Xp prof even i do not wanna use it and i wanna start working on ubuntu as it is more powerfull....

I'm currently on xp. Had upgraded to Vista but after a while my pc began running slow so I downgraded to XP. I also have unbuntu, win server 2003, server 2008 running on virtual PC. I use the virtual PC for testing purposes.

i would prefer XP....i think XP is the best OS for this time....Vista is not so good....
