I just got Ubuntu 8.04 on my laptop....I gotta say its pretty sweet
everything just works

I dont have to defrag, it runs nice and smooth, and im formatting the whole hdd to install ubuntu (had it with windows)

Mac OS isn't as hot as people put it out to be. It is fine if you don't mind having fun on your computer, but if you're a person that likes to be entertained occasionally, (and I don't mean youtube) you should probly stick with a PC. From what I've heard, the OS is very stable, although the parts and configurations are often inferior, and could be much faster.

Additionally, Vista isn't quite as unstable as people put out, at least since SP1, although it does still have a few glitches (usually due to the 3rd party software)

I agree, I haven't defragged once since I installed it on my laptop months ago and its still as fast as ever.

meh... used to play with redhat and mandrake when i was in highschool... don't much care anymore.

me too, but when I was in middle school, they sucked.
