Well when ever I see my desktop then I open up programs.

I just installed vista onto my 5 year old pc last night....4.2 performance rating and it opens alot of things nice and smoothly.

Pentium 4 3.0Ghz w/ ht enabled
1.5gb of RAM
GeForce 7600GS 512mb

Nice. That's really good for a 5 yr old computer.

Yeah, it must have cost alot, considering that was 5 years ago.

5 years of upgrades allow me to run Crysis with everything at high except the physics and post processing effects (running it at 1280x480 for dual monitors)

(5 second lag when I go through a door or turn around is very annoying....)

There are more bugs in Vista than ants on a pile of sugar. It's ridiculous. Vista was never ready to be released so early, Microsoft should have spent more time on its development. What a shame...

well i don't have vista yet. but i have heard so many negative things about it so i don't want to use it. and i have some programs that will run only in windows xp and so i will not going to use that one as of now. and i really hate downloading those plug ins just to use a vista. i am contented with my xp as of the moment.

I disagree. I really like Vista. I use it for at least a few hours every day and it's great. It's not too buggy at all. SP1 will be released to everyone next month, so that should fix most if not all of the known bugs.

Vista takes a while to get set up, but it is nice once it is there. It took me about 3 days to get internet, it was terribly frustrating. I then had to go through the extensive process of updating and restarting repeatedly, and then updating the drivers and programs. Once you get it to run and start using it, however, it is pretty sweet. They packed in so many features that you don't even know about, it is very nice. They also put in free stuff that you would have to buy otherwise. Media Center is greatly improved, windows defender is great, and the backup tools work much better. It is also all-around better performing than XP.

i guess vista is okay........maybe......
