Of course there is an end. It couldn't have an infinite amount of cells, that would take up too much space.

Yeah I found that out long ago in computers class in 7th or 8th grade and saw it again in computers class this week. If you click the middle wheel of the mouse and scroll down super-fast you'll reach the end of the rows in a few seconds and the end of the columns almost instantly.

I think your last cell depends on how much available memory you have, because I can go to well past row 1,000,000 and to column XFD.

I think that it also depends on which version of excel you have because I have version 2002 and i can only go down to cell IV65536, and I don't think memory would be an problem I have 2.5 gb

I have office 07 and the last cell is 1,048,576 both at home and on various college computers.

yea dad has Excel 2007 and the school has Excel2003
and me...well I have Works Database

but there still is an end to excel....and we will find it time after time
