my sisters ex husband is a cop and one of my best friends is a new police officer... and him and i both think this is a very stupid idea... its just not good ju ju... it could lead to an officer getting killed etc...

i just don't like the idea... its already not safe enough for a officer off duty... its to the point were most were a bullet proof vest even off duty...

While I see the dangers of it, I also see the benefits of it. FOR EXAMPLE, cops aren't untouchable and they aren't giving out addresses or anything, but instead they're using it to give feedback on cops to a wide audience.

With that said... honestly... you become a cop to arrest 'bad people', so you already are aware of the dangers of it. I don't want cops to get shot either, I want peaceful revolutions all around, but it's not like you walk into the job and go OKAY, SUNSHINE AND LOLLIPOPS OVER HERE.

And of COURSE a cop would be against it. You think they want to be called on their shit?

But also: a lot of people are morons and will violently criticize all cops just because they're cops.
This is a complicated thing for me though. Like I don't necessarily oppose the people behind the badge so much as I do the job. But I guess the people who are cops chose the job for a reason so argh. I'm gonna stop here.

there are good and bad people at any job.. so its all in how you look at it i guess.. i understand your conflictions and i feel the same way.

This issue is a serious one in my thinking, along with being asked if I support the troops in any war.
My only real answer is "sorta."

im with you there too... i don't neccessarily support the war they are in, but i don't want them getting hurt either...
