Line in problem

I just hooked up my PS3 to my Monitor via HDMI to DVI and I have the line in adapter so that I can plug my av audio cables into, and yet I can't get any sound, please help.

Is the line in hooked up to the HDMI? You can't use HDMI with analog audio, so if that's not the case that may be your problem.

No the HDMI is hooked up to the Dvi port on my monitor, the video is fine, I just have to sound i'm using this a Phono Y-Adapter http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tId=2103710&cp

And I have it unmuted and everything and I have it set on my ps3 to output the sound through the A/V cable.

edit- I fized it I had my speakers through my line out port, they worked there and I had my line out in the black one, but I have it all working now, i'm happy
