Default High Definition or Standard Definition?

Which do you prefer more? Standard Def or High Def?

It doesnt really matter to me, its the content that is more important than the video quality.

high def way better, more crisp / clear picture... HD truly make normal tv look shitty.

I think this is kind of a dumb thread. It's kind of like asking "which is better, single core or quad core?" Well, of course Hi-def is better, I have no idea why anyone would want lo-def, except maybe old people who want bigger icons, but don't know how to just make them bigger.

That's true. My neighbors (older folks) don't want high def because it would hike their cable bill.

I'm fine with standard definition. I will probably eventually pay for high def but it's just not a necessary technological advance for me. People without massive incomes have a hard time keeping up.

For example: To me, VHS to DVD was a nice change, but DVD to blu ray is not.

after making the switch over to Hi-Def about 2 or so years ago my TV viewing hasnt been the same. im constantly just watching HD programming. its hard for me to watch standard programming.

i remember one time when i moved into a new place free cable came with the apartment. i was watching a football game on standard programming and it was difficult for me. after watching it a week ago on HD it wasnt the same. so i disconnected the cable and used rabbit ears to pick up a digital signal so i could watch the football games on HD.
