okay you guys finally talked me into getting firefox... its the first time in 4 or 5 years that i tried it i actually like it so i retract my previous statments on the issue. so what addons do you guys recommend i try... i like the basic theme im not much on changing things from the default. but i do enjoy addons so what ya got shoot them at me...

I actually don't even have any add-ons. I never realized how many they are, but I hate cluttering my browser. Just my personal liking, though.

i just installed piclens its like having an ipod touch while ur surfing pictures sites like photobucket very cool and i added tab effect but its kinda choppy it basically makes it look like ur surfing on a cube and when u change tabs it rotates but its choppy so until they fix that im saying uninstall..cool idea in theory

I know you aren't interested in themes, but this one goes really well with vista: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4129. Try that.

ErrorZilla is useful for those "cannot be displayed" pages.
FasterFox for speed.
IE Tab There are some (very few) sites (usually older ones) that don't display correctly in firefox. Instead of waisting time switching into IE, just open it within an IE tab in Firefox.

I use a few others for web design and development, but other than that, those are the ones that I use.

ie tab wont work with the most current version of firefox

Go here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../versions/1419 and pick the 2nd one. That should work.

now it messed up my tabs looks like ie now... how can i go back to the firefox tabs and only open an ie tab if i need it?
