I dont turn mine off simply cus it takes an eternity to start back up

I usually leave the one in the office on except during the rainy season. I like to go straight to work when I get to the office and hate having to wait for the PC to boot and go thru the various logon screens. We use 2 factor authentication.
I usually always put the one at home off to save electricity.. am paying..

i never turn off my PC....because i just keep downloading.....never ever stop...i have 1Tb and 500Gb external harddisk...lol

I turn it off when I go to sleep, and when I go to school. If Im only going to be gone for a little while I put it in sleep mode.

I have wondered if it is better to just leave it running, usually, stopping and starting any kind of machine or electronic device can cause problems for certain components, but yes, I turn my computer off.

One of my computers has been running for 3 MONTHS straight, last time I looked at the uptime counter it said 2104 hours

its my webserver...
I dont remember the last time I shut it down...but that time is from the last reboot

Sometimes I don't turn off my computer, I don't know why. Maybe when I rush things and I want immediate help of my computer. And I want to hear a sound coming from it when I got my new mails.
