Well maybe alcohol should be illegal then.
Things aren't illegal for no reason. Yes, maybe marijuana has some benefits (although that's becoming more and more questionable), but that doesn't mean that those benefits outweigh the risks.
- Smoking marijuana regularly will damage healthy lung tissue.
- It depresses the immune system.
- Marijuana is no longer or extremely rarely used for medicinal purposes these days because further studies have shown that it actually has a negative affect on patients and their medical issues.
- Marijuana has been shown to cause acute toxic psychosis, panic attacks (one of the very conditions it is being used experimentally to treat), flashbacks, delusions, depersonalization, hallucinations, paranoia, depression, and uncontrollable aggressiveness.
- It worsens mental disorders.
- It can be addictive.
It's your choice, but I wouldn't want to put something in my body that is damaging and hurting my health, and I certainly never want to be addicted to any substance. Nothing is going to have control over my body.
