So er... what makes you so sure God exists? Thoughts on the bible, people?

Ever looked at the bible? It's huge. I don't think some guy just sat down one day and said "I'm gonna make everyone think there is a God by making up 100s of stories".

You know, of all the religious debates I've seen in my day I haven't seen somebody use what you did as an explanation for Gods existence.

So to play devils advocate: Don't you think that as time has gone on, people could have changed the bible from what it originally was? Do you realize that sometimes history is bias, or even downright fabricated? Or even that it's written by the winners (this may or may not apply to the bible, I just wanted to take a shot at history, go me)?

What about say... someone parting water. Should it honestly be believed since it defies all logic?

Good point, and yes, of course it has changes over all those years, and being translated and all. And no, I don't believe every story in the Bible.

theres proof of jesus, there are accounts of romans talking about him and his death, know how when something bad is happening people can aquire superhuman abilitys (lifting a car off of their baby etc.)? i believe jesus had that only all the time and a more intense level of it.
